Less than 24 hours after reports, it's confirmed that there are no plans for a new bank holiday in the UK next summer for VE Day.

While £10m has been allocated for events to honor the end of WW2, it only pertains to the existing early May bank holiday.
Plans for re-scheduling the early May bank holiday in 2025 are unlikely, suggesting that the UK's holiday schedule will remain limited.
