The Hop Inn, run by Phil Cooke and Alison Taffs, is a micropub in North Street known for its warm atmosphere and focus on independent drinks. Since opening in December 2019, it has been awarded CAMRA's London Pub of the Year twice and named London Cider Pub of the Year for four consecutive years. The pub prides itself on its educated staff who share a passion for drinks, from artisan ciders to cocktails. They foster community by recruiting locals eager to learn about beverages, all while ensuring that the pub provides a relaxing, music-free experience.
People are more and more interested in what they are drinking, where it comes from and who made it, and all of our team can tell that story.
Our team are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what we sell - you can guarantee when you come in that you can ask questions.
What we tend to do is we recruit our customers. So, we tend to find local people who are really passionate about drinks and who are interested in learning more about drinks.
We work hard to put ‘community’ at the heart of The Hop Inn and create a relaxing experience for customers.
