The Bayview Vehicle Triage Center Will Close Up for Good In March
Briefly

The Bayview RV triage site in San Francisco, the most expensive homeless initiative, failed to meet its objectives, housing only one-fifth of its planned capacity.
Executive Director Shireen McSpadden stated, "We're really not in the business of running RV parks, and that was very clear to us in this process."
Despite a budget of $15.5 million, the site only served about 30 vehicles at a time, costing approximately $140,000 per vehicle per year.
The city's budget report indicated that the cost of operating the Bayview RV site was $275 per night per RV, showcasing the extreme financial burden.
