TfL starts two-year revamp Barons Court tube station
Briefly

Beginning on 13th February, Barons Court tube station will undergo a two-year restoration project that includes cleaning and restoring canopies, strengthening columns, and overhauling the drainage system. Originally opened in 1905 and served by the District and Piccadilly lines, the station features unique high-backed red wooden benches. Transport for London emphasizes that the restoration will ensure historical accuracy, reverting surface colors to the original District line palette of green and cream, correcting inaccuracies from previous renovations.
All work will be done with heritage in mind, and every element will be restored to its previous state, pledged Transport for London's Andrew Hatch. This will include repainting the station in the original heritage District line colour scheme of green and cream.
The high-backed red wooden platform benches, with the station name on enamelled panels, are found nowhere else on the London Underground network.
