Storm Reid, who played Gia Bennett in HBO's 'Euphoria,' will not reprise her role in Season 3 due to scheduling conflicts as she focuses on her education and production work. The series, plagued by a toxic work environment and delays from the pandemic, is set to resume production in early 2025, despite the loss of some cast members like Angus Cloud. Reid's commitment to graduating from USC and other projects means she cannot participate in the show's upcoming season, despite the cast's overall return.
"I got stuff going on," she added. "I’m about to get my degree and graduate from USC, producing [with her production company A Seed & Wings]...so, you know, schedules can’t just align sometimes. It’s a scheduling thing."
Despite the alleged drama and several cast members sharing their thoughts on returning, it was announced in July 2024 that production for Season 3 would resume in January 2025 and the entire main cast would be coming back.
