Ryanair has alerted passengers to possible flight cancellations amid the oncoming Storm Éowyn, one of the worst storms forecasted for Ireland. CEO Eddie Wilson noted they plan to operate as normally as possible on Thursday and Friday, despite some expected disruptions. Drawing from previous experiences, Wilson stated that they managed to maintain nearly 95% of their Dublin schedule during the last storm. He emphasized taking a flexible approach to cancellations based on rapidly changing storm conditions, urging passengers to keep an eye on updates via their website.
"During the last storm, out of Dublin we operated just short of 95pc of our schedule," said Mr. Wilson.
"You're better to plan to operate and cancel if necessary, rather than cancelling wholesale where you've got such a fast-moving storm moving in," said Mr. Wilson.
"It's inevitable there'll be some cancellations, but to predict that a day out, I don't think would do our passengers any favours."
"There's going to be some element of disruption, but I think people who can get away on their flights will appreciate that rather than just cancelling wholesale."
