"Met Éireann have issued weather warnings for six counties, saying bands of rain with Storm Chandra will be "heavy and persistent". Status Yellow rain warnings for Carlow, Kilkenny, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow and Waterford will come into effect at midnight tonight and remain in place for almost 24 hours, ending at 11pm, Tuesday. Forecasters have warned of localised flooding, especially where the ground is already saturated from recent rainfall, river flooding and difficult travel conditions."
"Forecasters have also issued Status Yellow wind warnings for Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow. The warnings will be in effect from 5am on Tuesday, until 11pm on Tuesday. Met Éireann have forecast winds to be "very strong and gusty" particularly at coasts and exposed areas. Overall, forecasters have reported a wet and breezy start to the week. Showers are expected to clear along the west and southwest on Monday afternoon, remaining dull and wet elsewhere."
