A man in his 40s died in a storm-related incident at a domestic residence in Letterkenny, County Donegal at around 4:15pm. The body was removed to the morgue at Letterkenny University Hospital and a post mortem will be carried out; gardaí continue enquiries and a file will be prepared for the Coroner. Storm Amy left tens of thousands without power, with reports of more than 184,000 homes and businesses affected and around 20 flights cancelled at Dublin Airport on Saturday. Met Éireann issued Status Yellow wind and rain warnings for multiple counties, warning of localised flooding, difficult travel, displaced debris and possible fallen trees.
