"A man in his 40s died in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, after he was seriously injured in what is understood to have been a weather-related incident at a domestic residence during the storm. Emergency services and gardaí attended the scene and said they are investigating the circumstances of his death. Many households remain without power this morning as ESB crews continue to carry out restoration works across the country."
Storm Amy left around 49,000 premises without power, down from 184,000 overnight, with outages concentrated mainly in the northwest. Dublin Airport cancelled about 20 flights on Saturday.
