In 2024, Arlanda Airport recorded an impressive 80% punctuality rate for departures, surpassing its 2023 performance by 4% and significantly above the average of 66% for various airports as per Eurocontrol. It topped the list, followed by Oslo with a 1% improvement and Copenhagen, which saw an 8% rise. Additionally, overall flight activity at Arlanda rose by 4%, with international flights increasing by 7% and domestic flights decreasing by 10%. Swedavia CEO Jonas Abrahamson emphasized the priority placed on punctuality and ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency.
"We're happy to hear that Arlanda was able to deliver the best punctuality for departures in Europe in 2024," Swedavia's CEO Jonas Abrahamson said in a statement.
Arlanda had an 80 percent punctuality rate for departures, four percent better than in 2023, and well above the average of 66 percent across all airports.
The number of flights passing through Arlanda also increased by four percent in 2024 compared to the previous year, with international flights increased by seven percent.
