Status Yellow fog warning in place for 24 counties as Met Eireann warns of risk of hazardous driving conditions

The national forecaster has warned of both poor visibility and hazardous driving conditions for those counties affected, including Cavan, Monaghan, and Waterford.
The warning lasts until 10am this morning after taking effect from 7pm on Monday evening, with widespread mist and fog expected to thicken in places.
The day will be dry with spells of sunshine, but fog will linger in parts of the midlands, keeping temperatures cooler inland.
Thursday will be overcast with dry and calm weather, but a few spots of light rain and drizzle are possible, temperatures ranging from 12 to 14 degrees.
