Destiny Udogie took time out from training to meet youngsters at Noah's Ark children's hospice, gifting his own match day shirts. "Spending time with the incredible kids and their families has left me inspired and grateful for the strength, courage and love they show every day," he said.
Hamza's mom, Betul Palas, explained the difficulties of having a special needs sibling but noted Hamza felt so special meeting Destiny, calling it a day he would never forget.
For Zareiya, meeting Destiny was a dream come true as she aspires to play in the women’s league. Her mother praised his impact, noting Zareiya had a big smile on her face throughout.
Christina Lucas-Dodsworth shared her son's admiration for Destiny: "Joseph was absolutely star-struck seeing Destiny and couldn't quite believe he was meeting one of his favourite players."
