Sources: Alabama set to hire Grubb as next OC
Briefly

Alabama has appointed Ryan Grubb as its offensive coordinator, marking a return to collaboration with head coach Kalen DeBoer. Previously, Grubb served in the same capacity under DeBoer at Washington and was instrumental in placing their passing game second nationally. Although initially slated to join Alabama for the 2024 season, Grubb opted to remain with the Seattle Seahawks until last month. With Alabama aiming to revamp their offense following the loss of key players, Grubb's hiring signals a strategic move for improved performance on the field.
Grubb will again oversee the offense, which he also did under DeBoer at Fresno State in 2020 and 2021.
In 2023, Washington reached the national title game and finished No. 2 nationally in passing, as quarterback Michael Penix Jr. was the Heisman Trophy runner-up.
