This idea emerged after discussions with the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office on how to serve incarcerated people better, showcasing innovation in rehabilitation programs.
Trish Dorsey emphasized the initiative's focus on training women in retail skills while also offering them free clothing as they transition back to the community.
The Elmwood store not only supports women's reentry through practical experience but also fosters a sense of autonomy and dignity in their exiting process.
