Shred Photos of Your Ex and Groove to Joy Division at San Francisco's Goth Prom
Briefly

Pasta Supply Co. in San Francisco is hosting a Goth Prom to provide an alternative to standard Valentine's Day dinners. The event, inspired by the dislike for typical romantic dining experiences, features a themed ambiance with red-filtered lights and goth music from iconic bands. Guests are encouraged to dress in costume, with prizes for the best-dressed. Activities include themed decor and a unique photo backdrop, offering a tongue-in-cheek celebration for those who prefer a darker aesthetic on Valentine's Day.
I tend to be very inspired by things I find annoying... the standard Valentine's operating procedure where it's like, 'Let's put oysters on and be sexy for the night and do a prix fixe,' it's an eye roll.
Much like last year, there are fun extras and activities to make the event special and goth-y... the Valentine's Day soundtrack will provide on-theme background music to dinner.
This year's backdrop theme is artist Auguste Rodin's Gates of Hell... decorated with dried, desiccated flowers.
Last year, people really 'went for it,' Strong says, dressing in beautiful gowns and crazy hair, 'the whole thing' and he's hoping people will do the same this year.
