The San Francisco Botanical Garden has announced the commencement of its beautiful magnolia bloom featuring over 200 rare species. The bloom, which typically occurs from January to March, will showcase stunning flowers ranging from pink to white, adorning the bare branches of magnificent trees. As of January 7, 2025, the first blooms have appeared. With peak blooming expected in early February 2025, visitors can access guided tours and self-guided experiences including a Magnificent Magnolias Map to explore the best spots in the garden.
The bloom of over 200 rare magnolias at San Francisco Botanical Garden, typically at its peak from January to March, transforms winter into a colorful spectacle.
From January 7, 2025, the garden's magnolias are in bloom, with saucer-sized pink blooms already showcasing the beauty of the Magnificent Magnolia season.
The 2025 peak bloom is expected in early February, following a similar pattern as 2024 when peak arrived on February 10 and lasted through February 24.
Visitors can enjoy a self-guided walk with the Magnificent Magnolias Map and various programming including Curator Tours and a Magnolia Moonlight Walk.
