SF's 2025 Free Lunar New Year Lion Dancing Festival at 19 Branch Libraries (Jan. 18-Feb. 8)
Briefly

Celebrating the Lunar New Year, the Jing Mo Athletic Association offers a vibrant lion dancing performance that symbolizes prosperity and good luck, continuing traditions associated with the Year of the Snake.
Participating in lion dance performances, audiences are invited to not only witness exciting martial arts but also engage with cultural practices such as touching lucky lettuce for good fortune.
The events will take place on January 18 and 25, 2025, across multiple San Francisco public library locations, showcasing participation from the West Coast Lion Dance Troupe in February.
With performances scheduled at 14 different venues in January, the lion dance serves as an excellent opportunity to immerse oneself in Lunar New Year traditions and festivities.
