SFJazz Collective's latest inspiration? de Young artists
Briefly

"We've talked about doing some kind of collaboration with SFJazz for a long time. We're always looking for ways to let people experience art in new ways, and this was a perfect opportunity. You can see the art and now listen to the art and experience an interpretation of the work." - Maria Egoavil, public programs project manager at de Young.
"I think there was a feeling within the band, if it's going to be a collective and everyone composes, let's put the emphasis on that. This year, it's visual art, which is still something you can hang your hat on." - Chris Potter, saxophonist and music director of the SFJazz Collective.
