Serious incident' at Southend airport after small plane crashes

A Beechcraft B200 aircraft crashed soon after takeoff from London Southend airport around 4pm. Witnesses reported flames and dark smoke at the scene. The East of England ambulance service said four ambulances and four hazardous area response team vehicles were at the scene, in addition to an air ambulance.
The aircraft, operated by Zeusch Aviation, was equipped with medical systems for transporting patients, but it's unclear if a medical evacuation was occurring at the time of the crash.
London Southend airport announced on Sunday evening it was closed until further notice due to the crash incident.
