Tually explained that by pretending to buy every available middle seat on a flight, it prompts the booking system to hold those spots, leaving only aisle and window seats when you actually book.
In his demonstration, Tually revealed how he pretended to buy 10 middle tickets for a Ryanair flight, showing that some budget airlines intentionally assign middle seats in hopes that travelers will pay to select a better spot.
Tually's strategy not only helps avoid the dreaded middle seat but also saves passengers from paying extra fees for better seat assignments on low-cost airlines.
