Scholz spoke about the collective memory of the Holocaust, highlighting it as composed of millions of individual stories, asserting that "this awareness must be passed down in our remembrance."
Reiterating Germany's historical accountability, Scholz insisted that the memory of the Shoah must continue to be an integral part of the nation’s consciousness, regardless of one's background.
