Shawn Albert emphasized the deep community ties, saying, "She was a huge pillar in this community. We weren't able to have a funeral because it was COVID," reflecting on the importance of this tribute.
The tree, a 74-foot-tall Norway spruce, serves as a special memorial since Lesley Albert, who passed away, cherished Christmas and was known for her generosity.
Erik Pauze discovered the tree in 2020, and since then, the family's home has become a local attraction, showcasing the joy a single tree can bring.
