Review: Not even plucky title character can save Disney's wretched 'Moana 2'
Briefly

"Moana 2" is finally here, ready to assault audiences this holiday season with one of the most ill-conceived sequels in Disney history. It took three directors to sink this movie - Dana Ledoux Miller, Jason Hand and David Derrick Jr. - and it's so bad it feels like they did it on purpose.
This time it's to find the sunken island of Motufetu and break its curse so that her people can connect to other Pacific Islanders so that 'their story doesn't end.' It’s nice to know others are out there, sure. But Moana's people seem like happy, contented people, with a booming agricultural and fishing economy and a creative cultural life of art and storytelling.
At least three-quarters of this movie is utter confusion. Moana (the engaging Auli'i Cravalho returns as her voice) and her ragtag team is called upon to save her people again, but the overall storyline lacks clarity and direction.
