Nikolina Tomasevic from OsnaZene stated, 'Despite the widespread nature of this abuse, most people in Serbian society blame the victims for their appearances in such content, perpetuating a harmful stigma.'
The European Institute for Gender Equality reports that 90% of revenge porn victims are women and girls, illustrating the gendered nature of this violence against privacy.
Tomasevic elaborated on the societal mindset: 'Many believe that only girls who conform to traditional modesty deserve sympathy, while those who don't face blame for their victimization.'
