Restaurant 'which has become nightclub' hits back at licence suspension
Briefly

Residents in Stratford have expressed distress over Kay-Viva operating as a nightclub, with noise complaints and parties lasting until 4am, disrupting sleep.
Kay-Viva’s team argued that complaints about noise were unfounded and disputed allegations that the restaurant's new events exceeded its license. It was contended that no evidence linked the noise to the venue.
Vivian Ezeagu admitted to mistakenly applying for incorrect hours under TENs, highlighting confusion over operational hours and leading to significant licensing issues for the venue.
Following a compliance visit, licensing officers noted Kay-Viva had breached conditions by serving alcohol without food and operating beyond its authorized activities, calling its current licence unfit.
