Rainham superstore hosts 'life-saving' lung cancer scans
Briefly

The NHS is encouraging smokers aged 55-74 to get free lung scans, which aim to identify lung cancer early for more effective treatment.
More than 14,000 people in Havering will be invited for lung checks as part of a health programme to detect cancer and promote healthier lifestyles.
Dr. Stephanie Uys emphasized the importance of early detection, stating that while most scans may find nothing, early intervention can significantly improve treatment outcomes.
The program includes initial phone assessments and if necessary, low-dose tomography scans in a mobile unit, providing a convenient way for high-risk individuals to get tested.
