Portsmouth's McIntyre joins Charlton on loan
Briefly

Defender Tom McIntyre has been loaned to Charlton Athletic from Portsmouth until the end of the season. The 26-year-old, who joined Pompey from Reading earlier this year, has already made 12 appearances in the Championship this season. Charlton's manager, Nathan Jones, praised McIntyre's experience and footballing skills, emphasizing that his left-footedness will enhance the team's defensive balance. McIntyre's early career at Reading and subsequent journey through the Championship contribute to his value as a player with both experience and potential.
Tom is a centre-half with a load of experience. He got in the Reading side as a young player and has played in the Championship for the majority of his career.
He's a real good footballing centre-half, one that can develop play for us and one that has real good experience and pedigree for his age.
We've been able to strengthen and add a bit more balance to our defence with him being left-footed.
