Law enforcement sources said 54-year-old Todd Richman was attacked as he displayed an Israeli flag during the demonstration on Oct. 7, marking a year since terrorist attacks.
Video shows Richman being mobbed and harassed, with a woman antagonizing him by shaking a tambourine in his face, as other protesters yelled obscenities.
Richman attempted to walk away, bloodied from the attack, while the aggressive mob followed him, yelling crude remarks suggesting he was attacking people.
Officers from the 13th Precinct arrived to escort Richman to safety, treating his injuries at the scene while keeping the rowdy protestors at bay.
