The Metropolitan Police have introduced a Section 35 dispersal order in South Woodford, aimed at curbing anti-social behaviour over the weekend. This order allows officers to disperse individuals from a designated area, effective from 8 pm on November 1 to 8 pm on November 3.
Inspector Sher stated that the extra powers are necessary due to ongoing issues of anti-social behaviour within the community, particularly around the now-closed Grange Jaguar Woodford building.
The police will also enforce a closure notice for the garage at the same location, which allows them the authority to remove anyone who breaches the dispersal and closure orders.
Local residents and businesses have expressed their concerns regarding the increase in anti-social behaviour, prompting police to act decisively with these new orders, highlighting community safety.
