The UN has now raised concerns over the position of Israeli tanks near the peacekeeping post known as UNP 6-52, manned by Irish troops, where they are locked down.
Unifil stated, 'The IDF has been repeatedly informed of this ongoing situation through regular channels. This is an extremely dangerous development.'
Family members express growing desperation as the Irish soldiers are locked down and virtually powerless in the middle of a war zone.
