Phil Lesh, founding member of Bay Area's The Grateful Dead, dies at 84

Lesh was a Berkeley native and lived in Marin at the time of his passing.
The Grateful Dead formed in Palo Alto in 1965. The band played its final show to 'Deadheads' last year at Oracle Park.
Lesh's death was announced on social media Friday morning, saying he passed peacefully 'surrounded by his family and full of love.'
