People Are Sharing Their 2024 Voting Experiences - The Good, The Bad, And The Unexpected
Briefly

"Virginia went to an early voting location and had my 2-year-old and 4-month-old with me. Easy, no line, no drama, in and out. Walking back to the car, my 2-year-old decided to have a meltdown when I said he had to hold my hand in the parking lot. This occurred exactly as I was passing the area where the two main parties had set up their stations across from each other, handing out sample ballots. One party offered stickers to my child to diffuse his tantrum, while the other offered to help wheel the stroller containing my 4-month-old to my car. Supporting a mom struggling with a toddler tantrum became a bipartisan issue. And I love that."
"I pulled into the parking lot to vote early last week, and a woman flagged me down and said, 'Excuse me, I know this is weird, but could you take a picture of me with my sticker on? I want to send it to my daughter.' I happily did so. I'm glad that she and her daughter are taking part in the democratic process."
"I voted on the first day of early voting at the Susan B. Anthony House! Everyone was so happy to be there; it felt like a party. Everyone kept speaking about how wonderful it was that SBA's house was an early voting site for this election in particular."
"Myself and most everyone I know is on the permanent early ballot list and we get sent our ballots in the mail a few weeks before the election. We have all voted already. It was super easy years ago when you could trust to just put your completed ballot back in your mailbox, but we stopped doing that in 2016. We take our ballots to our county recorder's office to be safe."
