The FIDO Alliance has published specifications for a Credential Exchange Protocol (CXP) and Credential Exchange Format (CXF) that will enable secure transferring of passkeys between devices.

Passkeys can enhance security significantly compared to passwords by being up to 75% faster in sign-ins and eliminating credential reuse.
