"There was a pretty good deal of pain. That's a nice way of putting it," Tkachuk said Friday. "It did not feel good."
"It was, at that point, just being able to deal with the pain I was dealing with," Tkachuk said. "I was able to put some more pressure on it and skating felt all right."
"I'm just lucky it wasn't worse than what it was," said Tkachuk about the knee-on-knee hit he received from Kucherov.
"It did not feel good," Tkachuk reflected on the hit, emphasizing the initial fear and pain he experienced after the collision.
