It's hard to believe the show can persist through such disjointed storytelling, but season seven flips through storylines rapidly while marked by absurd moments.
The series seems unwilling to fully explore Claire and Lord John's complex emotional moment, opting instead for awkward editing and cuts that dilute the gravity.
