During Storm Éowyn, a giant beech tree collapsed onto a house in Castleconnell, Co Limerick, narrowly missing Professor Neil Robinson and his wife, Dr. Maura Adshead. Dr. Adshead, fortunate to escape injury, had just left the bed due to her husband's snoring. With tree surgeons currently utilizing cranes to remove the approximately 40-tonne tree, the full scope of the damage remains unknown. Despite the structural work ahead and significant costs, the couple feels gratitude, acknowledging that their losses are minimal compared to what could have occurred.
