Open-sourcing of WinAmp goes badly - for its owners, anyway

The owners of WinAmp deleted their entire GitHub repo a month after its source code release, which included questionable code from Shoutcast and Microsoft.
The initial release of the WinAmp source code included a prohibitive license, the Winamp Collaborative License (WCL), which restricted forking and was deemed against GitHub's policies.
