The luxury hotel Claridge's is set to expand its portfolio with the opening of Claridge's Bakery in Mayfair this summer. Under the leadership of Richard Hart, an acclaimed baker and author, the bakery will feature traditional British baked items such as jam tarts, Belgian buns, and various loaves, including sourdough. Hart aims to create a community-focused space celebrating familiar baked goods. Given Claridge's historical reputation for excellence, this bakery promises to become a culinary highlight for both locals and tourists in London.
Running the Claridge's oven as executive baker and creative director is sourdough connoisseur and author Richard Hart. 'My goal is to celebrate timeless British baked favourites in one of the most notable British institutions,' Hart said.
Claridge's Bakery is scheduled to open its doors this summer on Brook's Mews in Mayfair, next to Claridge's ArtSpace Cafe, and will specialise in British classics like jam and custard tarts.
