Bernie Moreno, a Republican candidate for the Ohio Senate, initially invited attendees to record him but has now deployed anti-recording technology against those tracking him.
While campaigning in Ohio, Moreno had a town hall event where he stated that nothing was off limits for recording, saying, 'You know my rules: Nothing's off limits.'
Despite allowing recording, Moreno's campaign acknowledged the use of a device that disrupts audio capture, stating it targets 'trackers' rather than regular attendees.
Moreno’s campaign appears to be reacting to backlash after being recorded making remarks that were interpreted as dismissive of suburban women voters concerned about abortion.
