Loretta, a resident of Avon Nursing Home, celebrated her 104th birthday in an unconventional way by being temporarily locked up in the Livingston County Jail. This unique experience was organized by her family and local law enforcement after she expressed a desire to see inside a jail for the first time. Along with a private tour, Loretta enjoyed a birthday party complete with treats, showcasing her upbeat spirit. Her advice to the sheriff on longevity humorously emphasized the importance of 'minding your business'.
Loretta had a great time touring our Jail facility and we are so glad that we were able to make her birthday wishes come true! Thank you for all the laughs today and for being a great sport!
Unlike other guests to the jail - typically visiting against their will - Loretta's trip included a party complete with coffee and cake.
