The NTIA announced that two new states, Alaska and Ohio, received funding to implement their digital equity plans, helping communities access affordable high-speed Internet.
"For the first time, every state in the nation has a digital equity plan in place to promote widespread adoption of high-speed Internet services," said Alan Davidson.
The newly approved grants aim to launch state digital literacy programs, device refurbishment initiatives, and online skills training for incarcerated individuals.
More than $800 million from the $1.44 billion Digital Equity Capacity Grant Program is now available to assist states in enhancing digital equity.
