NH man surrenders possibly over 1,000 mice after becoming 'overwhelmed'
Briefly

The New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals reported that a man surrendered three large tubs containing 73 mice, revealing a crisis at his home.
The shelter staff estimated around 400 mice were still at the man's home, with the possibility of total intakes reaching as high as 1,000 due to unchecked breeding.
Savannah Alcero, Director of Animal and Veterinary Services, expressed concerns stating, 'And the longer we wait to get all of the mice out of their terrible living conditions, the greater the likelihood is that the numbers will continue to grow.'
These mice, bred as pets, are usually friendly and social, highlighting the importance of proper care and living conditions for such animals.
