New Pop Jonathan Micallef Wants Fight of the Night at UFC 312
Briefly

Jonathan Micallef, a rising fighter from Australia with a record of 7-1, is set to make his UFC debut at UFC 312 against Kevin Jousset. In addition to his fighting career, he recently became a father, adding a personal milestone to the professional excitement in his life. Despite the changes that come with parenthood, Micallef indicated that his approach to fighting remains consistent. He aims for a 'Fight of the Night' bonus, reflecting his mentality that prepares him for the rigors of competition without being overly focused on securing a quick finish.
It's been a big couple of months. The last six months have been crazy. It's been fantastic; externally there's been a lot that's changed inside of my life, but on the inside, besides obviously my kid, everything's relatively the same.
As much as my life has changed, my approach to fighting is still the same. You do what you have to do, and outside of that, being a dad and stuff is a separate thing to fighting.
I come into every fight with this sort of mentality. Prepare for this [Fight of the Night], and whether I get the finish I'm expecting, I'm prepared for it.
When the dust settles at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Micallef is hoping to see a 'Fight of the Night' bonus on my behalf.
