NetApp has introduced new models in its all-flash ASA block storage series, including the ASA A20, A30, and A50, featuring substantial upgrades in CPU, PCIe, and memory. These models cater to entry-level and mid-range segments, succeeding the A250 and A400 while complementing existing A70, A90, and A1K models. The new arrays show impressive performance gains, with the A20 being 72% faster than its predecessor. NetApp also unveiled FAS50 hybrid flash models and EF300C and EF600C SANs, enhancing ransomware detection and recovery guarantees across its block storage offerings.
"The upgrade to the ASA products comes a little after NetApp did similarly for its AFF all-flash file storage-oriented products. That delay is just down to the time it takes, said Caley. 'There are only so many engineers in the day.'"},{
