The company posted pictures on local versions of its website showing the batch numbers of affected products, which are sold under different names. In Germany they are called Beba and Alfamino."
Nestlé recalled batches of infant formula across several European countries, including France, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Italy and Sweden, after detecting a quality issue in an ingredient from a major supplier. The company identified concerns related to arachidonic acid oil and tested all such oils and mixes used in affected products. No illnesses have been confirmed to date. Nestlé is coordinating with national authorities and has implemented precautionary measures, including preventive and voluntary recalls of specific Guigoz, Nidal, Beba and Alfamino batches. The company provided return and refund instructions and a consumer phone number for questions.
