Nearly 40 La. cats arrive at MSPCA same week as dogs from Calif.
Briefly

The MSPCA at Northeast Animal Shelter is responding to the increasing number of animals needing relocation due to disasters across the country. Recently, they took in 37 cats from Louisiana affected by severe snowfall, who will be quarantined before being put up for adoption. In addition, plans are underway to rescue 10-20 dogs impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires, with transportation facilitated by the Bissell Pet Foundation. The MSPCA emphasizes its commitment to animal welfare and disaster relief through these efforts.
A staggering number of animals across the country are being impacted by disasters right now, said MSPCA-Angell Relocation Manager Josie Waldron.
As a leader in animal welfare with an established Disaster Relief Program, we have a responsibility to help in any way we can.
We're still finalizing plans, but it looks like we'll be taking in 10-20 large sized dogs from the Los Angeles-area late next week.
