Mysterious 'orb' spotted over NYC days after 'near-miss' with UFO
Briefly

Experts have suggested that the orb over New York City was either an optical artifact from the helicopter’s glass or an out-of-focus bird. However, the incident has fueled speculation about the possibility of aliens, especially following a recent Pentagon report about a near-miss involving a commercial airliner and a mysterious object near the city.
Avi Loeb, a Harvard physicist, explained that the bright orb could simply be a reflection of sunlight caused by the helicopter’s changing orientation. He noted that if it were a real object, it would need to be moving at speeds around the speed of sound rather than something extraordinary.
The video capturing the mysterious object was reported to have occurred at 6:05am ET, but a representative could not confirm the specific date, suggesting that it might have been recorded last year. If this was an unknown object, its speed would have been approximately 2,700 miles per hour.
Alejandro Rojas, an advisor at Enigma Lab, remarked that the sighting was particularly unusual, stating, 'I am not sure it would be a reflection from the helicopter glass because the helicopter is moving so slowly and the object doesn’t seem to move in a consistent manner with it.'
The sighting sparked various theories among New Yorkers, highlighting a community eager for answers amid recent heightened interests in unidentified aerial phenomena and the Pentagon’s investigations into such occurrences.
