My kids and I went to Dubai for the first time. It was incredible, but I wish we'd avoided these 6 mistakes.
Briefly

The author's trip to Dubai, initially a short layover, turned out to be too brief for the multitude of attractions the city offers. With just three days, they felt rushed and couldn't enjoy all that Dubai has to offer, especially the iconic Dubai Mall. They recognized the importance of planning ahead for such a vibrant city, noting that many popular attractions require advance reservations. The trip's frantic pace highlighted a need for downtime, which could have alleviated stress and aided in adjusting to time differences, ultimately wishing for a longer stay.
I realized that the three days I planned were not nearly enough... if I had to plan the trip over again, I'd schedule at least four or five days in Dubai.
I wish I'd squeezed in a couple of hours of downtime to relax... that also probably would've helped us acclimate to the time difference.
I should've booked a longer trip... I surprisingly wish I had more time to explore the Dubai Mall.
Since this was just a stop on the way... I didn't do much advanced planning. Unfortunately, that meant we weren't able to do everything we had hoped.
