Richard Perry, who produced iconic albums including Carly Simon's 'You're So Vain' and Harry Nilsson's 'Nilsson Schmilsson,' passed away at the age of 82.
Perry's perfectionism shone through in the studio; he recorded 'You're So Vain' a hundred times before feeling satisfied, showcasing his commitment to artistry.
Daphna Kastner Keitel, a friend of Perry, emphasized his generous and fun-loving nature, stating, 'He maximized his time here... the world is a little less sweeter without him.'
In addition to his productions, Perry founded Planet Records, which released albums by well-known artists and was later acquired by RCA Records.
