Murderer who killed man in Co Donegal absconds from prison a second time
Briefly

James Meehan, 55, serving a life sentence for murder, has failed to return from day release from prison, prompting a police appeal for information.
This is the second time Meehan has been unlawfully at large; previously, he crossed the border to attend a family birthday and had to be extradited.
Meehan was convicted for the murder of James McFadden, who was brutally attacked outside his home following a wedding reception in 2007.
Police have urged anyone with information not to approach Meehan directly, emphasizing the importance of contacting authorities or Crimestoppers for safety.
